How do I make a booking?
Please send us an enquiry either by using this form or emailing us with your preferred dates.
Your booking is only secured once we have received your deposit.
How do I pay for the booking?
We require a 20% non refundable deposit at time of booking. Full payment is required 6 weeks before your stay. For bookings made with less than 6 weeks to arrival the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Payment is by bank transfer only.
How will we collect keys?
Access to keys for the property will be via a key safe, details of which will be communicated to you prior to your arrival.
Do you allow pets?
We do not allow pets.
Is there a charging point for my car?
We do not have a charging point, therefore please DO NOT attempt to charge your car at The Auld Hoose as cables can create a health and safety issue.
The closest charging station is The Pickaquoy Centre, Muddisdale Road, Kirkwall.
What time is Check-in and Departure?
Check in times are from 4pm and check out is by 10am on the day of your departure.
Smoking/Vaping
We operate a strict policy prohibiting smoking or vaping in the property. Should it be reported that any persons have been smoking or vaping inside the property a charge of £150 will be levied to cover the cost of deep cleaning of the property.
Cot & High Chair
We are pleased to be able to provide a cot and high chair at no extra cost. Please let us know at time of booking if you require linen for these.
Does the property have disabled access?
Due to the historical architecture, we made every effort during renovation to make the house accessible however, the property may not be fully accessible. Please get in touch if you have specific questions regarding accessibility and we would be more than happy to assist.
Do you accept stag/hen parties?
Unfortunately we do not accept stag/hen parties. Requests for such will not be accepted.
Is there Parking?
There are spaces for 3 cars off road.
Do you have a minimum or maximum stay?
Minimum stay is 5 days. Please enquire as availability may change.
Do you have free wifi?
Yes, we have free Wifi.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your stay with us then please contact us at your earliest convenience. The deposit of 20% at the time of booking is non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the management. Please see the booking terms and conditions for further information.
Do you provide Linen and Towels?
Yes we provide Linen and Towels. These are changed weekly or earlier if requested through prior arrangement.
